Born and raised in Nebraska [Go Big Red!
], but living in Iowa at the moment. Most of my family have a blue collar background, and I spent most of my life with blue collar jobs. So the idea of having a home business has always been rather foreign to me. I think too many people feel like working for somebody else is the only way to go, but quite frankly it’s all they know to do.
In a lot of ways, having a home business has really pushed my own personal boundaries because I have always been an introvert and it’s been very difficult to talk to new people about whatever business I’m involved with, which is a lot of the reason why I went from business to business.
Because of how introverted I am, this has been a slow process for me personally, yet I’ve seen others develop very quickly. Your success depends upon you, and too many people are quick to blame others for their own mistakes or failures.
Empower Network is a network of marketers from multiple companies who are marketing a service or product using the tools and training from Empower Network. Too many times a network marketing company will provide a replicated company website for people to promote but leave them practically left alone as to how best to market the company.
This is where Empower Network comes in, and the training is provided by people using various tools that have helped them to sustain an income of over $10,000 per month. However, like I would say, their success was built entirely upon their own efforts and mistakes. They did not become successful overnight. It was a lot of hard work, so expect the same, but you will have the advantage that the majority of marketers don’t have and that’s the tools and training from the brightest marketers in the industry.
Below I thought I’d share a few videos to show that I’m a real person, who comes from a very average background. It’s an effort to let everyone know that this is not an industry for a select few successful people. A lot of times we’ll see how wealthy that a person looks and feel like we wouldn’t fit in. Remember, even the Empower Network founders started from nothing. One lived in a van (click the banner in the upper right for David Wood’s story), and the other was a construction worker (David Sharpe).
Like with any business or even personal life, it’s important to develop a relationship of trust (another reason that I’m sharing the videos). As private of a person that I am, it’s not very easy to open up like this because of the kind of people there are out there, but I know there are a lot of great people, too. Trusting someone isn’t always easy for everyone, including myself, whether it be in personal life, or especially online.
Above is a sample of my time with MyVideoTalk. Just another path along the way in my learning stages.
(video clip has no sound. Cam didn’t have a mic)
Video Above: You ever see those fuelers at the airport? I was one of those guys.
Video Below: I also did a lot of other ramp work, too.
Video: In 2008, Cedar Rapids, Iowa had catastrophic flooding which lead to 25,000 becoming homeless, and 6,000-7,000 instantly jobless. I was fortunate to still have a home and a job, but my job was affected by the flooding to where business was drastically cut back.
So if you’re fed up with the 9-5 grind, or whatever J-O-B that you have, then I’d like you to join me, but only if you’re truly serious about succeeding and making the necessary changes in your life to make that happen. I don’t have time to waste with people who aren’t serious when that time could be spent with those who are determined to succeed. Just click the banner in the upper right corner for a free video which again also describes David Wood’s story from when he was homeless and living in a van.

Hi Dave, I found your website because I was studying some guidance and tips you published on the Empower Network Dream Team site on how to set up an auto-responder. Helpful stuff and well written which is important - especially for folks who are just starting out like me! Of course we met the first time in San Diego at the Empower Network event there last month. You helped me and several others to find places to stay there for the event because it seems to me that's just the kind of guy you are - really helpful, sincere and knowledgeable! I think everyone who is joining you for business purposes has gotten themself a great mentor and coach! All the best to you, Dave P.S. this is a great website!
Hey Chris, Thanks for the compliment and the comment. It was great meeting you in San Diego. I know that I haven't been feeling up to par while there but I enjoyed going out with you and Tino during the short time we were there. That was a lot of food we had going on there. :-) I hope that you were able to learn a lot from San Diego, and even more so from Tino because Tino had a lot of value to offer when you both were discussing strategies. Don't hesitate to say hi at times. I'll talk to you again soon!
